I highly recommend Siteground for website hosting. Yes, they do cost more after initial period signup, but it is worth it. After years of dealing with sub-par hosts (GoDaddy, I’m looking at you…), I’m reluctant to take on a new client with existing hosting elsewhere.
Why? Because Siteground has excellent customer support. Things can and will go wrong and being able to hop on chat and talk to a real person is critical. Their support staff is top notch. Everyone I have dealt with has been intelligent, caring, helpful and has escalated the issue to another team if is it beyond their capabilities. Communication is superior and really fast with their ticketing system. When clients are relying on me to solve a problem, I feel like I have a team behind me.
Let’s get started!

Step 1: Choose a Hosting Plan
SiteGround has three plans – I recommend the StartUp for the majority of clients. You can always upgrade later.
- The StartUp plan is perfect for people with one website that are starting now.
- The GrowBig plan is a great value for money offer, including the option for multiple websites and the SuperCacher that greatly improves website speed.
- The GoGeek plan is perfect for people with e-commerce and larger sites, or more geeky development needs like more server resources and GIT integration.

Step 2: Choose a Domain Name
Sign up with an existing domain. Although you can purchase a domain name thru SiteGround, I prefer to keep things separate. Contact me for suggestions on domain registration.
It’s up to you if you want to sign up for Extra Services, but I don’t feel it is necessary.

Step 3: Review and Complete the Order
Unlike many other hosting providers, Siteground offers a discount on the initial hosting period. Please do be aware that your hosting costs will go up after that period and you may want to sign up for a longer period.

Step 4: Share your login info with me
I’ll set up your site and we’ll start the process of getting your business online!
Are you ready now?
